There's nothing like returning to your high school for a Spring Concert to remind you how old you truly are. I didn't recognize most of the kids, and the few I did know are all taller than I am. Awkward.
Other than that, it was a good show. I'm suprised that a chamber orchestra comprised of nine amateur violinists could sound that good. Not great, but adequate.
Highlight of the evening:
Mrs. Croley announces that the next song the choir will perform is "It's a Wonderful World." From backstage comes a loud thud. Ralph informs us that it's Louie Armstrong rolling over in his grave.
Truthfully, I didn't really go to see the band, although I do miss the Jazz Band an awful lot. I was kinda hoping to see Shara this evening. I haven't seen her in forever, and I've been trying to contact her, but to no avail. Too bad, I guess. As Ralph and I were sitting in the Choir room after the concert, I found a picture of her with Mrs. Croley. Coincidence? I showed it to Ralph, who proceeded to make a big deal out of it. Totally embarrassing.
